Support and Services for victims and survivors of Historical Institutional Abuse (HIA).
We are pleased that the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) has been appointed by The Executive Office as the service delivery body responsible for the provision of dedicated health and wellbeing support and care to victims and survivors of historical institutional abuse.
From Monday 2nd November 2020, support is available to meet immediate needs in the areas of persistent pain, disability aids, and psychological and emotional support.
Community partners are expected to be appointed by 1st December 2020 to deliver local and easily accessible support and services. This will include dedicated health and wellbeing caseworkers, outreach, drop-in, additional talking therapies, complementary therapies, personal development, welfare and social support.
