This organisation receives support from the Victims Support Programme for Groups Working with Victims and Survivors, to deliver some or all of the services that it provides.

Its views do not necessarily reflect those of the Victims and Survivors Service.

MUVE was set up in 2012 by a dedicated group of volunteers in the Mid-Ulster area.

Our main aim is to offer help and support to innocent victims affected by the Troubles within this geographical area although we also have members from outside this area as well.

MUVE provides services, advice, and support to individuals, families and groups in order to promote well-being and prevent isolation. We are a trans-generational group with our membership including entire families. We encourage family participation whenever possible.

MUVE’s services include directly or indirectly (e.g. via another similar group), welfare, advocacy, complementary therapies, counselling, remembrance events, recreational activities (art and crafts), excursions, respite breaks, adventure weekends for children and more.

Our intention is to create a group made up of people who have similar interests and backgrounds and to create a common area where all can feel relaxed, welcome and at ease in a safe and secure environment.

Our services are open to all our members.

MUVE Membership is open to:

  • Any innocent victim of the Troubles (compliant with the 2006 Victims and Survivors Order). This can cover bereavement, physical injury, psychological injury/ trauma, carers, witnesses to incidents etc.
  • Any individual over 18 years who has an interest in or wants to contribute to the development of the group
